WINDOW SCANTLINGS

High-quality & certified window scantlings

Window scantlings are the core production program of the company. They form the main semi-finished product in carpentry workshops for the production of wooden Euro windows and interior and exterior doors.

Window scantlings are wooden beams intended for the production of windows and doors. They consist of three or more layers bonded together with water-resistant D4 adhesive. This makes the beam highly durable and dimensionally stable. The outer layers are made from the highest quality wood obtained through a special cutting process, with all wood defects that could negatively affect the strength and aesthetics of the window scantlings being removed.
Euro scantlings got their name because the sale of Euro profiles must comply with European regulations and standards, and laminated wooden beams are used for the production of windows and doors across Europe. The structure of the scantlings consists of three glued layers: the top and bottom with radial grain orientation, and the middle one being tangential. Since each layer has different tension, the tangential forces are canceled at the glued joints, resulting in a product that, unlike solid wood, is dimensionally stable and resistant to twisting. The company produces following profiles of scantlings:

Europrofile 72

72 x 86 mm, 72 x 115 mm, 72 x 125 mm, 72 x 145 mm (solid or jointed)

A simple, most commonly used profile. It is used for the production of windows and balcony doors with lower thermal insulation requirements. The main window profile is IV 68. The windows are typically fitted with double glazing for insulation. Wider profiles are used for window partitions and interior doors—whether hinged, sliding, folding, or other constructions. The heat transfer coefficient of softwood is 0.15 W/m²K. The overall heat transfer of the window is around 1.2 – 1.4 W/m²K.

Europrofile 84

84 x 86 mm, 84 x 115 mm, 84 x 125 mm, 84 x 145 mm (solid or jointed)

A profile for more demanding customers who require higher standards for thermal and sound insulation. The market share of this profile is continuously growing, and it has become the most purchased profile for most larger producers. The windows are fitted with triple-glazed insulation. Wider profiles are used for window partitions and interior doors—whether hinged, sliding, folding, or other constructions. The main window profile is IV 78. The heat resistance coefficient of the entire window for this profile is around 1.0 W/m²K.

Europrofile 96

96 x 86 mm, 96 x 115 mm, 96 x 125 mm, 96 x 145 mm (solid or jointed)

A profile for the most demanding customers requiring the highest standards of thermal and sound insulation. Windows, balcony, and terrace glass walls are fitted with triple or quadruple glazing. It is often combined with integrated internal blinds. Wider profiles are used in the construction of large glass walls with various combinations of ventilation and opening options. Profiles of this type are one of the main structural elements in so-called passive houses with minimal annual energy consumption.

Atypical profile

Under this name, we use profiles that differ in size or quality from the standard profiles listed in the catalog. These are primarily profiles for the production of combined wood-aluminum, wood-plastic windows, the production of rustic windows and doors, etc. These profiles are made to order based on customer requests and in agreement with the sales department.
